President Morgan Tsvangirai (pictured) will on Saturday lead a high-powered MDC leadership delegation dubbed “The MDC Real Change Team” for a rally in Hwange, Matebeleland North province where they are expected to address thousands of party supporters. The rally will be held at No. 1 Old Hwange Colliery grounds. The rally, branded as the “Real Change” rally is meant for President Tsvangirai and the real Change team to brief the people on the performance of the inclusive government and the progress made since the start of the Constitution-making process, which kicked off in June. The Constitution-making process has been marked by violence and intimidation as Zanu PF and certain elements of the state are trying to foist the discredited Zanu PF position, the Kariba draft on the people. President Tsvangirai is also expected to touch on party issues, the health and life of the inclusive as well as the state of outstanding non-implementation of the Global Political Agreement (GPA). The Real Change Team, which consists of the MDC top leadership, will take the opportunity to show its commitment to fighting for real change and deliver a new Zimbabwe. President Tsvangirai and the Real Change Team are expected to address similar rallies across the country. |
