MUSHUMBI POOLS - A local woman here is fighting for her life after suffering a lion attack at her home. The Mashonaland Central police confirmed the incident. (Pictured: Lions have been causing havoc for local villagers.)
The woman, identified as Chandaipira Nyabanga, was rushed to hospital after the locals heard her screaming for help. The lioness responsible for the attack is believed to be part of pride of lions which strayed from Mushumbi pools recently, and have been terrorizing villagers and killing livestock. A report was made to the police and Department of Parks and Wildlife, who have since responded, together with Rangers from Ingwe Safaris, and killed the lion. To date, the lions have killed four cattle and several goats. |
